White Shadows Review (Game Reviews) (Reviews)

Review by Warren Woodhouse

  • Rating: 8/10
  • Difficulty: Depending on if you want to platinum the game on the PS5, 2-3 hours
  • Type: Puzzle; Steampunk; Platformer; Indie

I saw the trailer in December of 2025 and decided to take a chance on the game. Usually I’m not one to jump into a unknown game by an unknown developer but sometimes I do.

I found it rather enjoyable, sometimes stressful with timing of the jumps, especially to complete certain puzzles but otherwise entertaining and fun. I would personally love to see a spin-off, sequel or a prequel at some point.

Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition Review (Game Reviews) (Reviews)

 Review by Warren Woodhouse

Rating (10 being awesome): 9.8 out of 10

Date & Time of Review: 13th December 2025 at 4:58 pm

Even though it’s technically separate from the rest of its predecessors of the True Crime franchise, I loved the originals as well as this game in the same franchise as a whole, for their overall realism to detail, memorable storylines, cemented characters and love for the development. From Luxoflux to United Front Games, great work devs. Please remake the original True Crime games as well, they deserve it. My favourite is True Crime: New York City, the perfect portrayal of New York, even right up into the corners of Inwood, most games don’t go that far. The detail is staggering. When the franchise was bought out by Square-Enix, the team was struggling during the move, so some people left and others stayed to finish True Crime: Hong Kong. It’s a shame it’s not like it’s original franchise but Sleeping Dogs does feel much like them which is why I still enjoy it. So much so that I’ve recently unlocked the platinum trophy a few weeks ago. Great game. The Definitive Edition is so worth buying and such an enjoyment. Puts GTA 5 story mode to shame.

Overall, a great game and one that I’ll highly recommend for any newcomers to the True Crime franchise.

Mafia III: Definitive Edition Review (Game Reviews) (Reviews)

 • Review by: Warren Woodhouse

• Review Date & Time: 8th November 2025 at 8:12 am

The game gives a great perspective and reflection of the ripping 1960s and 1970s, the storyline itself changes the period at a certain interval that I’ll not divulge as to not spoil it for newcomers. It hooks you in right at the beginning with its solid characters being introduced, along with gameplay mechanics, storytelling and fantastic soundtrack.

I personally enjoyed this game when it first came out, it was a big leap forward for the franchise and people disliked it straight away but I enjoyed every minute. The gunplay was a massive improvement, still is the best in the franchise. The only thing that let it down for me on Day One of the pre-order release was the amount of glitches, game breaking bugs and issues that I’ve discovered early on, that let me down, otherwise a well polished game and I’m actually considering playing it again after all these years. Well done Hangar 13 for making such an underrated game.

Monopoly GO Review (Game Reviews) (App Reviews) (Reviews)

Review by: Warren Woodhouse

Rating: 3 stars

Platform: iOS

Review Date & Time: 5th November 2025 at 5:33 pm

This game is really fun but as soon as you boot up the game you receive notices to buy things… really puts me off as I don’t use money in games anyway. Being able to collect Stickers is fun but frustrating when you can’t trade some in and keep receiving duplicates all the time, especially for like duplicated 7 stickers of one Sticker. Instead of offering GO Cash and GO Dices all the time in Bank of Monopoly, it would be nice for those Map 182 and higher to receive Stickers that we don’t have instead, that would be a different way to keep the game interesting. Otherwise it’s a three star rating from me.

Mafia: The Old Country Review (Reviews) (Game Reviews)

Review by: Warren Woodhouse

Rating: 6 stars

Review Date & Time: 27th October 2025 at 7:07 pm

A really great storyline and beautifully presented game, with cutscenes that make it feel like a film. The sprawling countrysides and small towns made it feel like you were in the early 19th Century. The game lets it down in various areas; I actually became lost in the towns, it felt like a maze and became very disorienting to navigate, not enough petrol/gas stations to use. The only other thing that lets it down is how slow the game is to heal Enzo even when using cover during fire fights, the knife fight moments are ill-timed… great story, characters, cutscenes and general aesthetics but the game lets it down in other areas. Not the best game of the year but certainly not the worst either.

True Crime: New York City Review (Game Reviews) (Reviews)

 Review by Warren Woodhouse

Rating: 10 Stars

Unlike some of the games I’ve played in my lifetime so far, True Crime: New York City was the most fun I’ve had in my teenage years. It has the most interesting and the useful character progression system in gaming, it’s nuts - the story branches out into multiple stories if you fail a story mission. Those details we never see in any games since then. Love the developers for making every effort count. You guys will be remembered for those moments and for leaving a lasting memory in my heart. Highly recommend this PS2 classic for any new or older veteran gamers alike.

GTA IV Review (Game Reviews) (Reviews)

 Review by Warren Woodhouse

Rating: 9.8/10

Like most games of recent, the reason I dislike GTA IV is that they added in multiplayer online trophies. These always end up being unobtainable long after a game has been released. They could have added these to a separate trophy set. Still, it is my favourite for immersion, size (it may not be huge but it’s density contributes to size), mechanics, physics and even its interestingly tasteful soundtrack, Liberty City felt truly unique and quintessential. The endless hours of enjoyment from the diverse comedy and cabaret clubs, the variety of activities, taverns and more; certainly a city worth visiting. They really made it feel unique and beautiful all at the same time. A masterpiece still to this day.

Black & White Review (Game Reviews) (Reviews)

 Review by Warren Woodhouse

Rating: 10/10

This game is interesting, intriguing and fun. Very engaging life simulation where you, effectively, play as God. The gameplay and mechanics are really fun and super easy to learn. Though, some of the missions are repetitive, they are very useful and informative. It taught me a lot of life lessons in my mid teens and it’s a rare thing to see in games generally. I highly recommend.

What Remains of Edith Finch Review (Game Reviews) (Reviews)

Review by Warren Woodhouse.

Rating: 5 stars

A very emotional, beautifully crafted game, even down to the detail of how the lettering moves and disappears on screen. This game is a walking narrative circling stories about death, sickness, suicide and also focuses on Depersonalisation-Derealisation Disorder in one chapter. Highly recommend.

Assassin’s Creed: Mirage Review (Game Reviews) (Reviews)

 Review by Warren Woodhouse

Rating: 6 stars

Before the credits rolled, including the credits that would included 16 hours since the credits is an hour long and it felt like they mentioned everyone who works at Ubisoft, not just the ones who worked on the game, literally everyone! It doesn’t help that some enemies are more powerful than you even in lower difficulty settings however it does feel much better, less tedious with collecting collectibles. I didn’t like the contract quest “The Marked Coins” as the NPC always outruns you, even in 30 fps, in order to gain 100% for the game, this was necessary to complete. Took 7 tries for that. The story needs more padding though, felt lifeless in a majority of the storytelling, which is sad. Otherwise, can’t find any faults. Love the fact that they listened to the majority of us when we didn’t want to lose out on DLC content, they included the DLC quests as downloadable content in the Ubisoft Connect rather than the store, which is a great way for us not to miss out on stuff. They streamlined the Discovery Tour, which is now in the base game as is, love that they done that. I didn’t like that they didn’t include enough Isu references like Apples of Eden and Vaults, there were a few Vaults though. They didn’t even allow us to escape the simulation via an Animus, only referring to it in a cinematic experience at the beginning of the game and as the Assassin Focus feature. Would still love to see references to the Animus since the first game had it and most of the franchise has it. The only games not to feature the Animus are Unity, Syndicate and now Mirage. However, I did enjoy the game though, certainly a refreshing experience in comparison to Odyssey and Valhalla.

Hogwarts Legacy Review (Game Reviews) (Reviews)

Review Date: 31st May 2023

Review By: Warren Woodhouse

Rating (10 being Good): 5/10

The game has an interestingly amazing opening introduction. The quests are fairly simple and enjoyable, even if slightly repetitive.

The graphics are mediocre and could be improved. Overall, it’s average. It’s not the most aesthetically pleasing game to look at, however with its environs and varied locations, the game stays interesting and intriguing.

The game has bugs and glitches and most of them are fine and a few of them make collecting collectibles or completing certain tasks a chore. The Customer Service experience that WB Games Support provides is uncomfortable and sour.

GTA V Review (Game Reviews) (Reviews)

 Review by Warren Woodhouse

The game is very addictive and has much more improved graphics and designs. A nicer selection of tunes keeps the scene up-to-date with modern music to fill the environment with new thoughts and ways of being creative. The game has a huge storyline and every cutscene is different than the one before it (even if you play the game again, you'll notice a few changes in movement with the characters during the cutscenes since Rockstar Games use Euphoria which is made by Natural Motion).

The downside is the graphical errors and glitches such as changes to your actual TV settings to the changes from PAL to NTSC (which is not compatible with UK and European PAL Format TV's). Other glitches such as when trying to view TV shows and TV advertisements while playing the game can also cause the same effect (as mentioned above). I personally hated that they included the GTA Online trophies in the base game trophy set, what happens if players such as myself want to play solo and earn the platinum trophy at the same time. You got to cater to your audience, not just those who play the multiplayer mode of the game.

Apart from that, the rest of the game seems fine and holds up better than previous instalments.

DRIVER: Parallel Lines Review (Game Reviews) (Reviews)

Review by Warren Woodhouse
Rating: 5 stars

The game starts in 1978 with Tanners Ancestor, The Kid. When
They decide to kidnap the Columbian, The Kid doesn’t know what hit him. 28 Years later, That’s 10227 Days, He came out of jail in the year 2006. Now he’s back and here for revenge.

This game is better than the last one (DRIV3R). The good news is it doesn’t star Detective Dick Tanner “Tanner”. Which is good cause he walks like a crab in DRIV3R. I just hope Driver 76′ is going to be better than the other Driver games.
