Are the Assassins or the Templars correct? (Assassin’s Creed Alpha) (Assassin’s Creed) (Gaming)
Article by Warren Woodhouse
Neither the Assassins nor Templars are correct, I’ll explain but be prepared for a TL;DR. Sorry for the spoilers.
The Assassin’s Brotherhood and the Knights Templars have been at a very long and dragged out war against each other for eons, with neither side giving up.
Let’s say if you get to the end of the story of AC Valhalla, you’ll come across the glowy people cutscene, these two people are important as they’ve saved the world in a way, past and present. Desmond sacrifices himself in AC3 and Layla sacrifices herself in AC Valhalla, Layla has become the Mother of Wisdom and Desmond has became the Father of Understanding. If you’ve read the cave paintings in AC Rogue, the Mother of Wisdom is also possibly the Sky Woman in those cave paintings. Here’s another one I’ve noticed when playing on AC Liberation a few years ago, realised that Eurdito is Latin and it means Truth, as in literal truth. The Animus machine is also a time machine to some capacity, but how?
Both parties are right and wrong in their methods and teachings, neither fully understand the truth other than one person entirely: Ezio Auditore de Firenze, in AC Revelations he spoke across thousands of years to leave a message behind for Desmond in the future. Is it possible that Ezio is a conduit in all of this?! Is it possible that Desmond could finally find the answer to stopping the world from being obliterated? Who knows… with Ubisoft, it could all be for nothing and yet they leave these stories behind to intrigue those like me and you, especially those who have had the patience to read this far.
Some of the historical events have been slightly altered.
Interestingly, Otso Berg mentioned in AC Rogue that he went in the Animus once and found out that one of his ancestors was a Viking raider and part of a raiding party who raided Lindisfarne Priory in the 9th Century, funnily enough is when AC Valhalla takes place, yet we receive no DLCs nor any references in the game relating to or regarding Otso’s story. Developer oversight during AC Valhalla, perhaps?
Anyways, thanks for reading guys and gals.

Assassin’s Creed: Mirage Review (Game Reviews) (Reviews)
Review by Warren Woodhouse
Rating: 6 stars
Before the credits rolled, including the credits that would included 16 hours since the credits is an hour long and it felt like they mentioned everyone who works at Ubisoft, not just the ones who worked on the game, literally everyone! It doesn’t help that some enemies are more powerful than you even in lower difficulty settings however it does feel much better, less tedious with collecting collectibles. I didn’t like the contract quest “The Marked Coins” as the NPC always outruns you, even in 30 fps, in order to gain 100% for the game, this was necessary to complete. Took 7 tries for that. The story needs more padding though, felt lifeless in a majority of the storytelling, which is sad. Otherwise, can’t find any faults. Love the fact that they listened to the majority of us when we didn’t want to lose out on DLC content, they included the DLC quests as downloadable content in the Ubisoft Connect rather than the store, which is a great way for us not to miss out on stuff. They streamlined the Discovery Tour, which is now in the base game as is, love that they done that. I didn’t like that they didn’t include enough Isu references like Apples of Eden and Vaults, there were a few Vaults though. They didn’t even allow us to escape the simulation via an Animus, only referring to it in a cinematic experience at the beginning of the game and as the Assassin Focus feature. Would still love to see references to the Animus since the first game had it and most of the franchise has it. The only games not to feature the Animus are Unity, Syndicate and now Mirage. However, I did enjoy the game though, certainly a refreshing experience in comparison to Odyssey and Valhalla.

Thank you for your order from Waterstones.com (Email Messages) (Gmail) (archive)
Ordered myself some Assassin’s Creed novels using my gift card for Waterstones. I really enjoy reading when I’m not playing games or watching tv. It’s relaxing to sink yourself into a book and feel like you’re part of the journey.
