Minecraft: PlayStation 5 Edition in-game screenshot gallery is missing my entire screenshot gallery! (MCPE-225064) - Minecraft: Bedrock Edition - Mojira Bug Tracker (Bookmarks)

PlayStation 5 v25.05-11.60.00.05-00.00.00.0.1

Affects versions
1.21.94 Hotfix
Description

Platform: PlayStation 5 Edition

What Platforms Is This Issue Affecting: All of them

I’ve been playing the game for a few days now and the screenshot gallery built into the game was working fine until I loaded it up right now to find all but two screenshots missing from the entire in-game screenshot gallery. As I’ve checked on the official Minecraft Feedback Forum (link to the issue on other platforms here), the mostly cause for this issue is due to the file compression format. Since the format isn’t supported on the console, this needs to be fixed. Might I suggest a way to fix this: allow the screenshots to be saved on the PS5’s media gallery rather than the in-game screenshot gallery, this would resolve the issue.

I can’t provide more details than the ones I’ve already outlined in the original post. For a week, the PS5 version of the game was working fine until the incident occurred. The built-in feature in the game (not a mod or pack, a feature that you guys have included as is), that feature that lets you take screenshots via the pause menu, is the culprit behind this issue. It still shows 2 screenshots in my screenshot gallery in the main menu and pause menu, as you can see in the original uploaded media, it was 12. After I loaded the game up after a week, it went from 12 to 2, I was like “Eh? Where did my screenshots go?!” - it doesn’t save the shots to the PS5 media gallery, so until you guys fix this issue, then it’s not resolved.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1.  On a new PS5 console, install the PS5 version of Minecraft from the PlayStation Store and use the original PlayStation 4 Edition disc to play the game

  1.  Import an existing Bedrock Edition world from your PS4 save files

  1.  Open the pause menu and select “Get a screenshot shot”, do this multiple times

  2. Create a new survival mode world using a seed id rather than a template

  3. Open the pause menu and select “Get a screenshot shot” to take photo mode shots, do this multiple times

  4. After a real life week, 1 week exactly, you might notice screenshots becoming missing from your gallery on your Minecraft profile

  5. Same issue occurs each time
