Featured in BBC’s The Fast Show, later became The Long Bar and now known as Head of Steam. The building is opposite National Rail Newcastle Central Station.

This location is based on the real life location of Bow Railway Works, based in Bow, London. CLICK HERE to learn more about Bow Railway Works.
Built in 1853 by the North London Railway, Bow Railway Works was based at the back of 9 Paton Close, Bow, London E3 2SA, Greater London, South East, England, United Kingdom.
The last steam locomotive built at the workshops was built in 1906.
In 1908, the workshops were merged with the London and North Western Railway, only then focusing on locomotive repairs thereafter.
The L.N.W.R. was in turn grouped with other railways in North west England and Scotland to form the London Midland and Scottish Railway on the 1st January 1923.The works closed in 1960, and the workload was transferred to Derby Works.Google Maps: https://google.com/maps/@51.5284815,-0.0209104,18z
What’s left of the original tracks used to haul carts and small shunting trains at the former sites of Hazlerigg Colliery and Havannah Drift Mine.
Havannah Nature Reserve was created on the former site of the Hazlerigg Colliery and Havannah Drift Mine, which operated from 1892 to 1964 and 1950 to 1977, respectively. After the mines closed, the land was landscaped and eventually declared a nature reserve in 1998. The reserve is now a Site of Local Conservation Interest and is maintained by Newcastle City Council. In 2015, a housing estate was built on the northern side of the area and named Havannah Park. I’ve decided to take photos of what I believe might have been the original paths of the shunting tracks along with the mine shaft which is now a lake.
