Rowley Station (Disused Railway Stations) (Real Filming Locations)

Originally opened as Cold Rowley in Stanley, County Durham, as a stop on the Derwent Railway route, located on the west side of the A68 on what is now the Waskerley Way cycle track which passes through the original station site, it was renamed to Rowley Station on the 1st July 1868, was fully closed on the 6th June 1966. By the 1970s, the station buildings had fallen into disrepair and by 1972, the station buildings were completely dismantled and reassembled at Beamish Museum, not too far from the original site. The reopening at Beamish was opened to the public in 1976.
