Below is a list of locations I’ve found that you can store stuff safely in that never leave no matter how many in-game years you spend away from.

Main Game

• My Megaton Home
• Memorial Maintenance Room, Lincoln Memorial, The Mall: Interestingly, if you kill all of the Slavers that are there including the ones at the statue above (exterior) as well as those in this room (interior), you can permanently use this space as your Player Home without any of your stuff going missing. The bodies won’t disappear, so you can store items in them (creepily, I guess). Interesting bug or feature, don’t know. Will try this out a few more times just to be sure that stuff remains there.

Bottle Cap and Ammunition Farming Glitch - Fallout 3 Guide

If you reload your save file or re-enter the area called Archival Secure Wing East, all or most of the containers (upright cabinets, drawers, containers, etc.) will respawn Bottle Caps and Ammunition almost instantly, every single time. You can repeat this multiple times from saving your game and then reloading or by entering another area and re-entering Archival Secure Wing East.

I’ve tried this method that I’ve came up with multiple times and I just thought about sharing this trick with you guys!

Method

1. Head to The National Archives in The Mall area
2. Enter the building
3. Clear the floor of all hostiles
4. Head into the Rotunda and help or kill Sydney
5. Use the elevator/lift
6. Once you reach the area called Archival Secure Wing East, you can collect Bottle Caps and Ammunition from the containers throughout the level. You can repeat this multiple times from saving your game and then reloading or by entering another area and re-entering Archival Secure Wing East

In order to obtain Bad Karma related trophies/achievements, you’ll need to play as evil as you possibly can; always demand payment for quests and steal items, hack terminals and murder innocent people to increase your bad position of the karma gauge.

You’ll need to do loads of bad deeds, basically.

Stealing, hacking and murdering will increase your bad karma.

Good Karma Guide - Fallout 3 Guide

In order to obtain Good Karma related trophies/achievements, you’ll need to play as a goodie two shoes; always doing quests for free or with very little reward and use a reliable karma balancing loop (stealing to lower it, donating Caps to churches or water to beggars to raise it) to stay in the Good part of the karma gauge.

You’ll need to be careful with how you balance your good and bad deeds to stay in the good position, basically.

Maintain your status by alternating between stealing or hacking (to lose karma) and donating Caps to churches or giving water to beggars (to gain karma).

Neutral Karma Guide - Fallout 3 Guide

Tip

If you reach Level 7 as Neutral Karma, head to The Mall and kill as many Super Mutants (The Reflection Pool) and Slavers (Lincoln Memorial) as these don’t dish out any negatives or positives, Super Mutants repeatedly respawn in that area by the trenches quite frequently so you can use this to farm your XP for your Neutral Karma playthrough without any drawbacks. The only quest to avoid at Level 7 is “Tranquility Lane” as you’ll only receive a large boost of either Good Karma points or Bad Karma points. You can still steal stuff afterwards from containers to return to Neutral Karma but at Level 8, the trophy won’t unlock if you’ve reached Level 8 with another Karma Level.

Neutral Karma Levels

• Level 8 unlocks Mercenary
• Level 14 unlocks Pinnacle of Survival
• Level 20 unlocks Paradigm of Humanity
• Level 30 unlocks True Mortal (DLC: Broken Steel; increases your level cap to a maximum of 30)

Guide

In order to obtain Neutral Karma related trophies/achievements, you’ll need to play as a selfish mercenary; always demand payment for quests and use a reliable karma balancing loop (stealing to lower it, donating Caps to churches or water to beggars to raise it) to stay in the center of the karma gauge.

You’ll need to be careful with how you balance your good and bad deeds as to stay in the middle, basically.

Maintain your status by alternating between stealing or hacking (to lose karma) and donating Caps to churches or giving water to beggars (to gain karma).

Avoid quests that dish out loads of Good Karma points and Bad Karma points as this might impact your ability to unlock the trophies successfully.

The Dark Heart of Blackhall - Point Lookout DLC - Fallout 3 Guide

Quest Giver: Obadiah Blackhall

Location Start Point: Blackhall Manor

Locations Involved: Blackhall Manor; Ritual Site; Disaster Relief Outpost; Virulent Underchambers, Dunwich Building, Capital Wasteland (optional, after the quest)

Obadiah, a recluse old man residing in Blackhall Manor, a Victorian mansion, requests if you could retrieve his family’s heirloom, the Krivbeknih, a mysterious and evil tome used by the occult years before the Great War.

The book is located inside a catacomb underneath the Ritual Site, slightly north east of The Homestead Motel. You’ll find access to the catacomb via a basement door on the exterior of the southern wall.

Once you’ve removed the threat of the hillbilly enemies from the exterior of the Ritual Site and the interior of the catacombs.

Once you’ve retrieved the book, give the Krivbeknih to Obadiah Blackhall at Blackhall Manor to receive 1000 Caps and 100 XP. Upon which, he will eventually take the book to his basement. Kill him (he is evil, so you lose no Karma) and loot the book back from his corpse.

After collecting the book from his corpse, you can take it to the Wicked Obelisk in the caverns of Virulent Underchambers in the Dunwich Building in the Capital Wasteland to destroy the book once and for all, also you gain 500 points of Good Karma and 100 XP from destroying the book.

Fallout Real Life Map (Maps) (Fallout Franchise)

A complete set of maps that feature all of the real life locations from the entire @fallout franchise. Map 1 includes all of the locations from Fallout to Fallout: New Vegas. Map 2 includes all of the locations from Fallout 4 to present. Map 2 also includes the officially recognised mods locations, which are Fallout 4: Vault 1080, Fallout 4: Fallout 3: The Capitol Wasteland, Fallout 4: Fallout London, Fallout 4: Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 4: Fallout Miami. I’ve also included the locations from the Amazon Prime Original Series as well as the locations from the DLCs from all of the Fallout video games. Fallout: Nuka Break Fanmade TV Series locations will be added to Map 2 in a few days. Vaults Map includes all of the Vaults in one map, so that you can find them easily. Mods Map includes all of the locations from all of the officially recognised mods and all of the locations from all of the unofficial mods as well. How to Solve the issue with Game Crashes in Fallout 3 & Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition on the PS3 - Issues - Fallout 3 Guide

 Solution by Warren Woodhouse

Sometimes, especially after 200 hours playing Fallout 3 or Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition, you’ll eventually run into a game save crash on the PS3. I did, however, find a solution to the issue, which I have outlined below:

1. Make a copy of your most recent hard save or autosave game save file to a USB disk drive
2. Delete the game and all the Fallout 3 or Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition game saves from the PS3
3. Enter Safe Mode on the PS3 and select Restore Database
4. Enter Safe Mode again and select Reset Network Settings
5. Enter Safe Mode again and select Delete Cache
6. Restart PS3
7. Reinstall Fallout 3 or Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition
8. Create a new save game file, complete the Prologue and Enter the Wasteland. Wait until you see a confirmation of a trophy/achievement pop up, if it’s already been unlocked, the pop up won’t occur. If you see a pop up saying that achievements won’t pop up, delete the save file and start from the beginning. Do not delete this save file until the issue happens again with the game crashing
9. Close the game and copy your original save file to the console
10. Restart the console
11. Play the game as normal

There you go. Real easy. This method also works with Skyrim on the PS3, Fallout: New Vegas on the PS3 and Fallout 4 on the PS4 and PS5.
