First Ever Film Featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger (Fun Facts)

Born in Graz, Austria, in 1947, Schwarzenegger was encouraged by his father to take up athletics.

At age 15, Arnold discovered weightlifting, which he practiced for the next three years before moving onto bodybuilding. By age 20, Arnold became Mr. Universe, the first of his unprecedented thirteen world titles.

Conan the Barbarian was his first breakthrough role in a film however his first ever film was in fact Hercules in New York which was released in 1970.

Hercules in New York shows off Arnold’s uncanny strength and his down to earth attitude, along with a lot of moments where humour takes its course, makes this film a fun one to watch.

After he became a United States citizen in 1983, Arnold took on the chance to feature in a low-budget independent film, The Terminator, which made him a global icon.
